Do we want to be known as a "Throw-Away Nation" in our current struggle on food waste? Since 2016, 791,000 tonnes of food waste has been generated in Singapore, a 40% hike since the past decade. With the increasing tide of food waste, how might it impact Singapore negatively on its environment? Can our current food reduction initiatives stem the tide of food waste? Should we rely on the government to spearhead more initatives and programs, or would the private sector be a more effective solution? What can citizens do to bring food waste towards zero?

For this month's TECH TARIK, we have 5 speakers for our panel, each with different experiences to reduce food waste. If it piques your interest to strategically limit your consumption or utilize your leftovers for a better cause, this one's for you!

Due to limited spaces, express your interest and get your tickets soon. This would also help us order sufficient food and refreshment, and minimise food waste.

We're deeply grateful that we will be having 5 outstanding individuals, joining us this season to share their views and their works to champion the reduction of food waste.

You will get a rare opportunity to learn more about their discoveries, mingle with them in person and get exposed to such breakthrough research at Singapore's own unique beautiful Kampung... and yes, have Teh Tarik under the stars.

And if you would like to stay open, the ORTO Park (and its array of restaurants) is open 24 hours.

For enquiries and bulk orders for 5 pax or more, simply contact support@groundupinnovation.org

As it is a paid event with limited spaces, remember to express your interest early.
